Meet your Practitioner

Hi, my name is Katia’ Hofheins. I am a Certified Rolfer®, Board-Certified Structural Integrator, ScarWork™ and BoneWork practitioner in a private practice.

My journey as a bodyworker began with a background in Health Studies. While living an active lifestyle: running, teaching yoga, fitness competitions, I eventually and naturally continued my studies and graduated from the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute, in Boulder, Colorado.

As an athlete who has experienced injuries and pain, I met and worked with a Rolfer (years before I became a Rolfer myself) and learned that my pain and tension were a result of an overall pattern of imbalance occurring within. Rather than treating the pain or tension “symptom” of this imbalance, Structural Integration | Rolfing® focused on rebalancing my entire body, returning it to a more aligned, relaxed and youthful state. Balance is not a static condition; it is a process of constant flux – a fluid expression of wholeness and ease.

I love being a Certified Rolfer and the practice of using my hands as my eyes, is an extraordinary way to sense and explore the fascial web of tension and adhesions in the body.

Through continued education, paired with lecturing and teaching ScarWork and BoneWork in the US and abroad, I continue to dedicate my hands and heart to this work.

Although our bodies are incredibly wise and ever-healing, it can be painful and difficult to be in this physical body of wisdom, especially when we experience pain; it may seem that our bodies are betraying us, moving and breathing in way we do not understand. We are in a hurry to move; we have places to go and be and no time for this discomfort.

Whether a client is experiencing strains from scarring, adaptive strain in movement from fractured bones, tight adhesions in the fascial/muscles, lack of breath and movement….each modality offered in my practice is designed to support the other, as we work together to bring the human form closer to ease and further away from discomfort.

If you are reading this and considering whether or not to schedule a consult/session at my practice, please know that I am committed to welcome each person compassionately, kindly, with knowledge and to honor each client’s goals, in a timeline that best suits the discussed treatment plan and the client.

Bodywork is a collaboration between practitioner and client. As a Board-Certified Structural Integrator and a Certified Rolfer® , my intention is to provide supportive and intelligent bodywork, while creating a safe and contained space for the body to remember it’s own self-healing mechanisms.

Warmly,

Katia’
